Christmas Feels

We are in that special season once again, a season of joy, of peace, of great tidings. A season when we celebrate the birth of Christ the King, the redeemer of mankind, Jesus is the reason for the season.
Christmas is not just a time for festivity and merry making. The Christmas spirit is a spirit of giving and forgiving. Christmas means a spirit of love, a time when the love of God and the love fellow men should prevail over all hatred and bitterness, a time when our thoughts and deeds and the spirit of our lives manifest the presence of God. We must remind ourselves that we are strangers her on earth; that our real name is in heaven. And no matter how long we live, we shall sure die one day. We should count ourselves lucky to be alive to see this Christmas. The spirit behind Christmas is that giving and sharing. December is the month of Christmas. Carols coming from every store, television and radio, from church choir and ordinary people caught-up in the spirit of the season.
Christmas is a time to renew bonds . It is a wonderful time when love ones can show appreciation for each other. It is also great time to use that love to build bridges of understanding, acceptance, and forgiveness.

Equality

Human beings will suit our definition of persons for now, but we will come back to this. All persons are equal. This seems obvious because we are all God's creation, but we are not equal in many ways. We are not all equally strong, equally tall, or capable of doing an equal amount of work, or equally beautiful  etc. And we certainly all differ greatly in our personalities. Yes indeed we do, but it doesn't mean that we don't have the same rights and opportunities.
We all have a freedom, we live in a democratic world so we have the right to give our opinions, regardless to whether it known. The denial or in accessibility of quality education also threatens the exercise of freedom in many different ways. For example, people are classified according to their educational attainment or even to the schools or universities where they studied. Whether or not some individuals are qualified to a job post, they are judged according to how they dress or compose themselves and the kind off community they came from.
Equality is measured in terms of worth, of value. And all people have equal worth and equal value. There is no person who is interior to any other person, ever.

Reading is the Key

The National Reading Month, as spearheaded by the Philippine Department of Education (DepEd) pursuant to Republic Act No. 10556, is an annual nationwide celebration every November that promotes the love for reading and its importance to the lifelong process of learning among Filipino learners.
In most schools, the National Reading Month is commonly celebrated with various student competitions that entail demonstrations of exemplary linguistic, communication, and reading skills, hence a double celebration of English Language and National Reading Month.
The Philippine Department of Education (DepEd) has already released the official theme for the 2018 National Reading Month celebration. According to the released DepEd Memorandum No. 175, Series of 2018, this year’s theme is: Pagbasa: Susi sa Magandang Kinabukasan”.
Is reading really important to us? Reading is important to us because it develops the mind. Understanding the written word is one way the mind grows in its ability. Teaching young children to read helps them develop their language skills. Learning to read is about listening and understanding as well as working out whats printed on the page.
Reading is important for a variety of reasons. Reading is fundamental to functioning in today's society. Reading is a vital skill in finding a good job. Poor reading skills increases the amount of time it takes to absorb and react in the workplace. Reading is important because it develops the mind. Understanding the written word is one way The mind grows in its ability. It has been proven that children who read better, perform better in school and have a more active imagination, leading to a larger world and more possibilities for success.
Reading is the key to success. It is not a secret that reading is the key to success; we have been told and taught this from a very early age. And now in the age of the internet  reading, writing , and communication skills are more valuable than any other skills you possess.

Reflection

This second grading is very challenging. I was  surprised about the lessons. This quarter I learned the what is Internet access all about and different software applications that is not familiar to me. I am very thank having this subject for adding my knowledge. Second grading very stressful but I admit I've enjoyed it. It is all worth it in the end.

Not a hindrance to success

Child labor, violence, prostitution. Many people in the world especially here in the Philippines don’t value about oneself dignity. Some doesn’t even care and know about it, especially to those regions/families who experience poverty. We all know that poverty is one of the biggest problems here in our country. They are lacked of foods, things, money, and education. Many people especially women and children experience violence, but because they don’t have any power to fight for their rights they just preferred to remain silent. It is every children’s right to go to the school and enjoy their childhood. But because of poverty they are forced to find a job in order to sustain their daily needs. Because of poverty women are forced to get naked in front of their customers in order to earn money. Always remember that poverty made for us to make us strong. And let us all be aware of what is happening around us. We must fight until the end. Let us work hand in hand to address this kind of issues. We can achieve success when we believe in ourselves.

Our beloved Teachers

We all have our own description of a hero and whom we consider as our hero. When we are still young we believe that only Superman, Batman are the superheroes because they have powers. So do we consider our teachers a hero? Why and how come if they don’t have any super powers. Teachers, they are our second parents, our school is our second home, our class is our second family. Always be thankful for all the efforts, time and sacrifices for us just to teach us not only with their subjects but also right manners. Education is very important to a man, that is why teachers are also very important to us. Let us thank them because they serve as our bridge to reach our goals in life. Teachers is an inspiration to all f us, love them and salute them. Again thank you for all the lessons that you’ve given and shared to us. We love you and we will always love you.

Advantage

Currently, the world depends on technology and everyone from young to old seemed to be deeply involved. Technology has become one of the most important elements in todays’ society and its role in our lives keeps getting complex. It is true that it has an impacted to all sectors of the society and even helped to increase efficiency and effectiveness. Technology nowadays denotes speed. People are able to perform certain things with ease and faster than ever before. Daily business transactions are currently done faster than even before. With improvement in internet speeds people have been able to converse and conduct meetings with their counterparts from different parts of the world. People have become increasingly competitive and every year new ideas and technologies are released to challenge the ones in the market. With technological improvements getting churned out every day, people managed to do a lot more work with a lot less effort. In conclusion, the world is introduced to new and mind-blowing ideas every day. While we jump and make merry whenever we see new improvements, it is also essential that we seek to maintain our human nature. Technology is indeed revolutionary but it should also never change who we are as a people.

Resilience

Philippines is also known as the "Pearl of the Orient Sea". God gave us our country a very beautiful creatures. We have a lot of tourist spots around the country, but with this very beautiful title there is also a title that brings something to us. We are all aware that the Philippines is a "Disaster Prone Country". Our country lies along the Pacific Ring of Fire which result to the occurrence of some natural calamities we experiencing all throughout a year.
All of us have a different problems. It can be simple or complicated; it can be in love, studies, family, and also in natural calamities. Every person have different style/ways in showing/acting their feelings. Some may cry, some may end their lives, and some may see their problems as a motivation to strive more. We Filipinos are known as a strong people, even in the face of calamities we still find ways to smile. We are tested by countless calamities; flash floods, typhoons, volcanic eruptions, devastating earthquakes and landslide. During this calamities we may lost our love ones, our relatives, our friends, and even our homes and properties but despite of this we still stay strong and smile.
Filipinos never give up. The spirit to survive and to bounce back and remains undefeated. We may be daunted by the horrible scenes around us, but certainly we will be strengthened by our unwavering faith in God. Together we can face any challenge ahead of us. We may stumble and fall but we will bounced back, arms stronger with vision and faith that after all the pains we survives.

 1.
Embedded journalism refers to news reporters being attached to military units involved in armed conflicts. While the term could be applied to many historical interactions between journalists and military personnel, it first came to be used in the media coverage of the 2003 invasion of Iraq. The United States military responded to pressure from the country's news media who were disappointed by the level of access granted during the 1991 Gulf War and the 2001 U.S. invasion of Afghanistan.

4. His team carved a hole in the wall that separated NIIT campuses from slum areas. Why did they carve hole in the wall?
This innovative methodology was first experimented in New Delhi where Dr. Mitra‟s team carved a “Holein-the-Wall” that separated the NIIT premises from the adjourning slum in Kalkaji. Through this a hole, a freely accessible computer was put up for use which proved to be an instant hit among the slum dwellers, especially the children. With no prior experience, the children learn to use the computer on their own. The experiment suggested that children, irrespective of their social, ethnic or educational identity, can learn to use computers by themselves, thereby closing the much discussed „digital divide”.

Reflection

Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is another/extensional term for information technology (IT).  It is also used to refer the convergence of audio-visual and telephone networks  through a single cabling or link system.
Well I admit at first I don't have an idea what ICT all about, because when I was still in elementary I did encounter that word. I also admit when I was in grade 7 I don't have more knowledge about computers. But as time passed by I learned so many things and I am very thankful to the information I gained especially now that the technology is in demand.
ICT 10 is all about internet, very interesting topic. I learned many things like the history of internet, the different types of blogs. After all this year of my existence I don't know what is internet all about and also with blogs. Along my journey in learning of course I encountered some problems in accessing the internet. I address this challenge as my motivation to study hard, because nothing happens if you just sit in a corner and wait for your problem to be solve. Problems are just problems do't let your problems ruin you, and remember problems are made to be overcome. Moving on, I will keep all the knowledge I learned about internet and especially about the articles.

Ika nga sa katagang "Change is the only permanent thing in the world" o sa tagalog ay ang pagbabago lamang ang nag iisang permanente sa mundo.

Human Rights vs. Human Lives

President Rodrigo Roa Duterte was set to deliver on July 23, 2018 (Monday 4pm) his third State of the Nation Address (SONA) at the Batasang Pambansa in Quezon City, Metro Manila Philippines. SONA 2018 was delayed by an hour due to the briefing of Duterte  on who will be seated as House Speaker beside him. In a sudden twist of events former president and Pampanga Representative Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo unseated House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez and became the House Representatives' top congressman.

While the SONA of the president turned out smooth as he followed his speech and did not say any curse words. Many people are shocked, even the celebrities shared their reactions on what happened. There are lines that caught my attention and went trending on social medias. One is "Your concern is Human Rights, mine is human lives". Teenagers live nowadays are being wasted because of the chemicals called shabu, cocaine, cannabis, and heroine. I think the reason of our president is there are many people who question his policy about the War on Drugs. President Duterte wants to prove us that he know what he is doing, that all he want for our country is to become peaceful but because of that they called "cancer ng lipunan" he was force to do unwanted act.

"You worry the present, I am concerned about both the present and the future. If not stopped, crimes can make human cesspool of succeeding generations. I will not allow it happen, not during my term".

Good Health, Good Life

Poverty is one of the biggest problem of the world. There's so many people felt this problem. They are lacked of money, things, education, food especially nutrition that can cause a bad result to their health. They said that health is wealth but how can they achieve a good health if they are lacked on many things? It is very important to take care of our health for us to maximize our skills and talents.

"Ugaliing Magtanim Sapat na Nutrisyon Aanihin" means we need to plant fruits and vegetables  for us to gain enough nutrition , a nutrition that everybody should we have. We can protect ourselves from getting diseases by simply starting a healthier way of living which means equipping ourselves about the importance of eating healthy foods and avoiding those unhealthy foods. Do our best, let us plant vegetables and fruits in our backyards and by simply doing this we can assure that the food we are eating is healthy and safe.

Always remember that having a good nutrition can boost our confidence, no one  wants to belittled let us show them that we are strong and healthy.

PRESIDENT RODRIGO DUTERTE
Malacanang Palace Compound,
J.P. Laurel Street,
San Miguel,Manila
Philippines

Mr. President:

Good day!. Being a president of our country must be really stressful. Everyday I see all your efforts for our country. I write to express my deep concern about how you discipline the Filipinos.

Mr. President after a year since you become a president I observed that our country had lessen the drug addicts and pushers. It is a good start as a leader not only to get the trust of the Filipinos but also to prove them that you are deserving to be our leader. Yes it lessen but the question is were all the people killed are drug addicts and pushers? Well definitely not and we all know that ending someone's life is a sin but because of that "War on Drugs" that killed many lives and sad to say that some of them are innocent.

Mr. President let me be candid and honest in saying this: Rodrigo Roa Duterte is both good and bad as a leader. You are definitely better than the previous Philippine presidents in the matter of decisive and political will.

Thank you and may God bless the Philippines under your leadership.

Sincerely,
April Anne Paet

Freedom!!

"Freedom" 7 letters 1 word that every Filipinos want. Word that is very important to us. Why? simply because we finally have our own freedom. Freedom of our country, that we can already do what ever we want. But how? how did we achieve that freedom?

We are celebrating the Independence Day for us to remember that, that day was the day we have  our own freedom. And also for us to thank our heroes who sacrificed their lives. Not just a simple effort but they fought for our freedom. Freedom of the Philippines from the Spaniards. Spaniards who slave us and didn't gave our rights as a human.

That's why it is very important to celebrate Independence Day. A very significant day to the Philippines. A day to praise our heroes who sacrificed their lives. Who poured their blood and sweats in fighting. Just for our freedom, even their life is the replacement.
